ABOUT THE SHED

Big systems move slowly. I don't.

I'm Dom. I first learned to tinker at scale inside large organisations, redesigning the insurance experience and shaping Australia's first digital driver's licence. It showed me how to make change even when the machinery is huge.

But by the time an idea made it through the red tape, the world outside had already shifted. So I built The Tinker Shed: a smaller, faster room where ideas can move at the speed people actually need.

THREE THINGS I KEEP COMING BACK TO

“We're all capable of designing the world we want to live in.”

Ideas are seeds meant to be shared. Start scrappy, test with the community, see what sticks.

“Make things that keep us human.”

Most things aren't broken, they're just not made with people in mind. That's the gap the Shed works in.

“That learning is never lost.”

You try things. They work or they don't. Either way you know more than you did, and the next idea walks sooner.

Got a half-baked idea?

A problem you can't stop thinking about, or you just want to see what happens when tech meets touch, I'd like to hear it. It's my personal inbox.
